Shanghai Metro Operation Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SMOC) is now operating Shanghai Metro Line 1, Line 2 ,Line 3 and Line 4 with a total mileage of 104 km. It will also undertake the operation management for the further eastern and western extension of Line 2, northern extension of Line 3, Line 7, Line 8, Line 9 and Line 10 with a total mileage of over 200 km. SMOC carries forward the unprecedented era of originating the metro system in Shanghai pioneered by its predecessor. It aims to be the first-class metro operator in the world.
